Wimbo champ Andy to star in The Beano

TENNIS hero Andy Murray is to star in the 75th anniversary issue of The Beano comic.
Murray - the first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years - will appear in the classic kids' mag although he has appeared in it before Sunday's triumph.
He faces off against mischievous tomboy Minnie the Minx on the court in the edition, which goes on sale on July 24.
The comic's editor Craig Graham said: 'We always planned to include Andy Murray in this amazing issue, but we've reworked the strip to reflect his historic Wimbledon win.

'The Beano celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and we've been working hard to put together an extra special issue that is packed full of menacing, pranks and jokes.
'The issue will also feature special guest writers and illustrators, celebrity contributions and young comic genius Zoom Rockman's debut Beano strip.'
A host of other famous faces, yet to be announced, are also set to join Dennis the Menace and co for the special edition.
The Beano has featured many British celebs in past issues, including the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, pop supremo Simon Cowell, DJ Chris Evans and Olympic champ Jessica Ennis.
Craig added: 'It's been a real honour to work on this extra special issue and we hope Andy and all our readers like it.'
