Taipei, July 11 (CNA) Taiwan's badminton player Tai Tzu-ying won a silver medal after being defeated by her Korean opponent 16-21, 27-29 at the Women's Singles Finals at the Summer Universiade Wednesday in Kazan, Russia.The 19-year-old, who ranks eighth in the world, was overpowered by Sung Ji-hyun, 21.Tai, who competed in the Universiade for the first time, has helped Taiwan own a bronze medal in the team event on Sunday.Taiwan so far has won one gold, two silver, and four bronze medals at the Universiade, which is being held July 6-17.The Universiade is an international multi-sport event organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
